Goldbeck, a construction and service company operating across Europe, generated a total output of EUR 6.3 billion in the 2025/26 financial year, which corresponds to the previous year's figure. The company's order intake increased to EUR 7.3 billion, up from EUR 7 billion in the previous financial year. The company maintains a presence at 122 locations in 21 countries and generated approximately 33 per cent of its total output outside Germany.
In the reporting period 2025/26, Goldbeck handed over a total of 526 buildings across various asset classes, including logistics and production facilities, office buildings, educational institutions, car parks, rescue and security buildings, and residential units. The Goldbeck Services division currently manages 2,478 properties, including car parks, office buildings and public facilities. Jörg-Uwe Goldbeck, managing partner, noted that the situation in building construction remains challenging and that contribution margins are under pressure due to various framework conditions. However, he emphasised that the increased order intake shows that the company's understanding of sustainable buildings meets market demand and that its products create the conditions for working, doing business, and living together.
Strategic Expansion and Product Focus
Residential construction became Goldbeck's strongest-growing product segment. With an order intake of over EUR 1 billion, compared to EUR 691 million in the previous year, approximately 5,000 residential units have been completed to date, while another approximately 8,000 units are currently under construction. The company is also seeing increased commissioning by public clients. This particularly concerns school construction as well as rescue and security buildings. An example here is the commission from the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern as part of a framework agreement for the construction of up to 58 fire service buildings.
Goldbeck is expanding directly into the US market for the first time. For this purpose, a joint venture has been established with Mortenson from Minneapolis, one of the largest US construction companies. Jan-Hendrik Goldbeck, also a managing partner, stated that this market entry opens up new growth potential. He emphasised that Goldbeck's systematised construction method differs from the local competition and that Mortenson, as a partner, knows the local market very well and optimally complements Goldbeck's expertise in planning and construction.
Digital Transformation and Sustainability Commitment
The company is increasingly positioning itself as an integrated pan-European provider for data centres, covering the entire value chain from planning and construction to commissioning. This orientation is underpinned by strategic acquisitions and partnerships: since last year, the planning and consulting specialist Critical Building from Lyon has been part of the group, and since the beginning of the year, a partnership has existed with the Austrian plant specialist Zaunergroup, in which Goldbeck has acquired a 50 per cent stake. This bundling of expertise provides customers with complex technical building and plant combinations from a single source.
Internally, Goldbeck relies on digital innovations, including the use of Artificial Intelligence to increase the efficiency of processes along the value chain. With the Vibecoding project, new forms of AI-supported software development are also being explored. In the area of sustainability, research into the decarbonisation of concrete has been underway at the Concrete Innovation Centre in Hamm since early 2026, with the aim of producing precast concrete elements with net-zero emissions in the 2030s. A concrete example of the application of sustainability innovations is the Siemens Campus in Erlangen, where Goldbeck realised four office buildings and a car park. For this project, in coordination with Siemens, a binding maximum CO2 value per built square metre of usable floor area was defined, which could be undercut by almost 20 per cent.
More than 14,000 employees work at Goldbeck's European locations. Jörg-Uwe Goldbeck emphasised that in challenging times, the company's values provide orientation. He explained that humanity, mutual trust, lived responsibility, performance, and pioneering spirit characterise daily actions and simultaneously serve as a benchmark for how responsibility for society and the environment is assumed and the ambition to shape the living spaces of the future is realised.
