At Hallo-Park in Essen-Stoppenberg, WILMA Immobilien recently laid the foundation stone for the 4/VIERTEL residential quarter. This ceremony marks the official start of construction for the project on Hallostraße, where a time capsule was buried to commemorate the event.
Essen's Lord Mayor and the Managing Director of WILMA Bau und Entwicklungsgesellschaft NRW mbH Bau jointly placed the time capsule in the excavation pit. The residential ensemble, consisting of four multi-family houses, will comprise a total of 60 housing units. These buildings are grouped in a quadrangle around a newly landscaped inner courtyard, which is intended to create a sheltered and attractive living atmosphere.
Amenities and Sustainability
All flats in the 4/VIERTEL project are equipped with balconies or (roof) terraces. A particular focus is placed on the sustainable energy supply of the multi-family houses. These feature air-source heat pumps that contribute to regenerative heating and hot water supply. The construction complies with the Effizienzhaus-55 standard, which underscores the high energy requirements of the project.
A portion of the living space will be subsidised: 22 flats in one of the buildings will be constructed according to the funding guidelines for affordable housing and are intended for rent upon completion. The remaining owner-occupied flats have largely already been sold. Numerous purchasers attended the foundation stone laying ceremony and expressed their expectations regarding the forthcoming occupancy of their modern homes in the green location directly by the park.
Location and Structure of the Quarter
The 4/VIERTEL residential quarter is being built in the centre of Stoppenberg and benefits from its immediate proximity to Hallo-Park. This location promises a combination of urban connectivity and nature-oriented living. The design of the project as a quadrangle around an inner courtyard promotes a communal structure while also offering private retreats for residents.
