More than 13 years after leaving Colliers as an Associate Director, James Marcellino is returning to the firm's New York office as Vice President. Marcellino's new role, which commences on 10th August, will focus on office leasing and tenant representation as Colliers continues to expand its presence in New York. The company announced this in a press release.

John Gallagher, Executive Managing Director for New York City at Colliers, described Marcellino's return as "another significant step" in the firm's growth. He stated that Marcellino's experience in institutional ownership and entrepreneurial perspective would bring immediate value to clients and the team, and they were delighted to welcome him back.

Extensive Industry Experience

Marcellino brings over 17 years of experience advising institutional owners, landlords, and tenants on office leasing. In his most recent role as a real estate advisor, Marcellino notably advised the Bracha Group, Modernus Architectural Products, and Christie's International Real Estate's leading residential sales team, the Gottlieb Team.

Previously, Marcellino served as Vice President of Leasing at L&L Holding Company from 2023 to 2024. In this capacity, he was responsible for the leasing strategy of the 6.3 million square foot portfolio and completed nearly 344,000 square feet in office and retail transactions.

Career Path and Education

Marcellino first joined Colliers as an Associate Director in late 2011. In 2013, he moved to an Associate position at CBRE and later took on senior leasing roles at CIM Group and Moinian Group.

Marcellino stated that Colliers has built an impressive platform in New York, and he was excited to return at a time when clients are seeking thoughtful, experienced advice for increasingly complex real estate decisions. He added that he had built his career on strong relationships and finding opportunities that create significant value for clients, and he looked forward to continuing this work at Colliers.

  • James Marcellino earned his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Syracuse University in 2010.
  • He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY).
