Landmarken AG has won the multi-stage investor selection process for a prominent site at Münster's Stadthafen. This process was jointly initiated by Stadtwerke Münster, as the owner, and the City of Münster. The decision allows for the development of a final crucial component on the northern bank of the harbour, known as the "Kreativkai", which has evolved into a modern location for services, leisure, and culture.
The waterfront plot covers an area of 10,500 m². It represents the final building block for the comprehensive development of the area. Landmarken AG will transform the derelict site and create a diverse district that integrates various types of use, thereby making an important contribution to Münster's urban structure.
Landmarken AG's plans envisage the construction of approximately 25,000 m² of gross floor area. The concept is designed for a broad mix of users to create a vibrant and functionally versatile district. This diversity is intended to further enhance the attractiveness of the location and meet different needs.
- —Residential
- —Hotel
- —Gastronomy
- —Office
This combination of uses corresponds to the already established structure of the "Kreativkai" and promotes the revitalisation of the area at different times of the day. The integration of residential spaces contributes to the creation of a permanently inhabited district, while gastronomy and a hotel strengthen the leisure and tourism aspect. Office spaces complement the range of services and promote economic use.
The project underscores the continued development of Münster's Stadthafen, which has evolved in recent years into a significant district with a high quality of life. Its realisation by Landmarken AG marks another step in the urban transformation of this former industrial harbour into a modern urban centre.
