The Leonardo Hotels Central Europe Group has significantly expanded its German business by acquiring four properties in strategic locations. The acquisitions include two hotels on Alexanderplatz in Berlin, as well as one property each in Düsseldorf and Dortmund. These acquisitions strengthen capacities in the business, MICE, and leisure segments and integrate various hotel concepts into the company's existing portfolio.

Strengthening Presence in Berlin and North Rhine-Westphalia

Two hotels with a total of 624 rooms were acquired on Berlin's Alexanderplatz, increasing the portfolio in the capital to a total of nine properties. One of the properties, formerly known as H4 Hotel, will initially operate as Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz by Leonardo Hotels under a white-label arrangement and will be transitioned to one of the company's brands after an integration phase. It features 336 rooms and suites, a restaurant, a bar, fitness and sauna areas, and 13 event rooms for over 700 people, making it particularly suitable for business travellers and conferences. Directly next to it, the former H2 Hotel was acquired as Leonardo Smart Berlin Alexanderplatz, offering 288 rooms, a breakfast restaurant, a mini-market, bicycle rental, and parking facilities. Quadruple rooms are available for families and groups.

In North Rhine-Westphalia, two properties were also integrated, targeting different segments. In Düsseldorf, the Leonardo Smart Düsseldorf, with 250 rooms, complements the offering. The property, formerly an H2 Hotel, is located near the main railway station and the airport and includes a restaurant with 280 seats, a bar, and parking facilities. In addition to double and twin rooms, the hotel also offers multi-bed rooms and accessible units. This increases Leonardo Hotels' presence in Düsseldorf to five properties, making this the first Leonardo Smart in North Rhine-Westphalia.

In Dortmund, the former Steigenberger Dortmund was acquired as Leonardo Royal Dortmund, which, with 166 rooms and suites and six event rooms for up to 200 people, has a strong business and MICE focus. Its location opposite the exhibition and convention centre, as well as its proximity to the city centre, Westfalenpark, and SIGNAL IDUNA PARK, positions the hotel for both business and leisure travellers. The property will undergo comprehensive renovation of its rooms and public areas in the coming year. This is the second Leonardo Hotel in Dortmund.

Yoram Biton, Managing Director, stated that the simultaneous acquisition of four hotels is a clear signal for continued growth in Germany. He emphasised the attractiveness of the Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Dortmund markets due to their strong demand in various segments. The new properties enable a targeted expansion of the offering and a strengthening of presence in the respective cities. The acquired properties, formerly part of the Revo portfolio, introduce concepts such as Leonardo Smart for efficient hotel experiences and Leonardo Royal for business and MICE guests into the portfolio. Further Revo properties will be integrated into the Leonardo Hotels portfolio in the coming weeks.
