McDermott Will & Schulte advised developer Projektentwicklung GmbH on the letting of 36,500 square metres of office space in the Düsseldorf project “NEW HEART on the block”. The tenant of these premises is the energy group Uniper. The lease agreement is long-term and covers a period of 15 years.
The premises are located in the planned 120-metre-high office tower of the new development project and are spread over 31 floors. Upon its completion in 2030, the tower is intended to serve as Uniper’s new corporate headquarters. This consolidation will enable approximately 2,900 employees, who are currently distributed across two locations in Medienhafen, to be brought together in one central place.

With Uniper, a significant anchor tenant was secured even before construction began. The existing building on Hans-Böckler-Straße is currently being demolished to prepare for the construction of the new building, which is slated to start in early 2027.
