The MOMENI Group has finalised the contract extension with EY for 5,300 square metres of office space in the BÖRSENPLATZ 1 property in Cologne. With this agreement, EY continues its commitment to the existing location and reaffirms the property's significance for the future design of the company's work environment. JLL supported the letting process as tenant representation.
BÖRSENPLATZ 1 comprises a total area of approximately 18,000 square metres and is located in a central inner-city area of Cologne, within the banking district. The building, designed by architect Wilhelm Riphahn in 1952, is partially listed as a historical monument and shapes the cityscape with its vertical structure. The property has undergone extensive refurbishment in recent years.
Building Structure and Sustainability
The flexible building structure of the three-wing office complex, consisting of several sections and four separate entrances with a main entrance on Börsenplatz, allows for various usage concepts. The property is currently fully let and offers 323 parking spaces. Its central location ensures walking distance to the main railway station as well as other public transport connections and cultural institutions in the city centre.
In terms of sustainability, the property holds a BREEAM 'Very Good' certification. Operational optimisation is supported by the use of AI-driven systems, and the general electricity supply is 100 percent from renewable sources on a balance sheet basis. The newly concluded lease agreement with EY is structured as a Green Lease, thereby promoting the shared sustainability goals of both tenant and landlord.
