Cookie Couture's presence in German city centres is significantly expanding with the opening of a new location on Cologne's Schildergasse. The conception and design of the approximately 70 square metre retail space were managed by Schwitzke & Partner, while the internal implementation was carried out by the company. This step aims to sharpen the brand's image and offer a coherent spatial experience.

The new store is conceived as a deliberately crafted counterpoint to the bustling inner city. The design integrates elements of American cookie culture, French patisserie and German craftsmanship to create a harmonious overall impression. Lukas Schwitzke, Managing Director of Schwitzke & Partner, emphasised the importance of clearly defined concepts in a changing market environment and expressed his pleasure at Cookie Couture's trust in his firm's expertise to spatially implement this combination of tradition and innovation.

Design Principles and Furnishings

A defining feature of the design is the targeted use of colours and materials. The brand colour, a subtle old rose, dominates the interior and serves as a continuous design element. The building's facade, already foiled in the same shade, draws the attention of passers-by. Complementary materials such as mosaic tiles on the floor and counter, metal applications, and coloured surfaces create a high recognition value.

The lighting concept, developed by CANDUS, sets specific accents and supports the visual impact of the materials and colours used. The store's functionality combines the characteristics of a cafe and a snack shop. At the same time, the spatial design was conceived to meet the requirements of an expanding franchise system. Presentation areas and merchandising elements are designed to appear attractive on-site and to be suitable for generating social media content. Furthermore, self-order terminals contribute to efficient operational processing.

  • Location: Cologne Schildergasse
  • Area: approx. 70 square metres
  • Parties involved: Schwitzke & Partner (design), CANDUS (lighting concept)
  • Concept: Combination of cafe and snack shop, designed for franchise growth
