alifornia Regional MLS (CRMLS) has launched a campaign called CRMLS 2025: Value Redefined, aimed at redefining its core values and helping members articulate their value to clients. The four tenets of this initiative are focused transparency, a broker-first philosophy, a user-oriented mindset, and a proactive vision.
According to CEO Art Carter, the need for innovative thinking is at an all-time high as MLSs face questions about their worth and membership declines. CRMLS wants to clearly define its value and help agents and brokers better articulate the value they provide to consumers.
The four components of value outlined by CRMLS are:
* Focused transparency: No secrets, no withholding information, no tricks.
* Broker-first philosophy: A supportive guide for subscribers.
* User-oriented mindset: Empowering users to make informed decisions through open and honest communication.
* Proactive vision: Anticipating opportunities and changes to come.
CRMLS is moving past "the old ways" of doing business and seeking to empower its users. The organization has surveyed its massive subscriber base, asking them directly what value CRMLS can provide. While the survey results were largely positive, they identified a strong desire for guidance on how to successfully do business while remaining compliant in the evolving 2025 real estate landscape.
As other MLSs and associations brace for membership declines, they might benefit from developing plans of their own to address user needs and communicate value effectively.
