Calvin Harris's Real Estate Legal Battle Continues

Former adviser denies theft, says Harris’s investment project is on track.

C
alvin Harris, real name Adam Richard Wiles, has filed an arbitration claim alleging that his former financial adviser, Thomas St. John, siphoned $22.5 million from him through a Hollywood real‑estate venture. Harris says he was exploited as a “personal piggy bank” to bankroll a creative campus that, according to the documents, is either a “boondoggle” or outright fraud. He claims he has received no return on the investment and that the project has not even begun construction.

St. John, who has denied any misconduct, counters that Harris is attempting to tarnish his reputation. A spokesperson for the adviser stated the legal filing is a “malicious attack” and pledged to clear the record. The adviser’s representative also maintains that the CMNTY Culture Campus remains under development, featuring over 700 residential units—both luxury and affordable—plus outdoor, creative, and retail spaces. Delays are attributed to high demand, macroeconomic shifts, and city bureaucracy. Upon completion, the development is projected to be worth around $1 billion, with no misappropriation of Harris’s funds.
