ennifer Schultz, a partner at Nixon Peabody's Boston office, leads the firm's Permitting & Land Use team. Her practice focuses on complex developments in the Greater Boston Area, with expertise in life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and renewable energy projects.
"I work on projects that benefit the community," says Ms. Schultz. "Whether it's an affordable housing project or a lab space creating jobs for public health, my goal is to make a positive impact."
Ms. Schultz represents a diverse range of clients, including traditional developers, family offices, and non-profits. Her team of eight attorneys works on complex mixed-use projects from Nixon Peabody's Boston office.
In March 2025, Ms. Schultz will receive the Outstanding Women of 2025 award at the annual Women of the Year gala in Burlington, MA. Recently, her team secured approvals for Wentworth Institute of Technology's 10-year Master Plan and is currently working on two residential tower projects in Dorchester and a redevelopment project in Charlestown.
Ms. Schultz's team extends beyond Boston, with members located in Rhode Island, New York, Illinois, and California. She attributes her success to hard work and enjoys problem-solving for her clients.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Ms. Schultz is involved with various charitable and community groups, including the Boston Urban Land Institute Product Council and CREW Boston. She also volunteers at Holly Hill Farm and serves as an active member of the Trustees of Reservations.
When asked about her hobbies, Ms. Schultz mentioned spending time with her daughter, hiking, and playing paddle sports. Her favorite books are "The Winds of War" and "War and Remembrance" by Herman Wouk.
