Louis C.K. sells downtown NYC home for $2.36 million

Three-bedroom, three-bathroom townhouse in a 10-unit walk-up at 345 W. 4th St.

I
n a Greenwich Village landmark, comedian Louis C.K. has parted ways with his three-bedroom, three-bathroom home for $2.36 million. The bohemian-chic residence, nestled within a 1926 red-brick townhouse at 345 W. 4th St., boasts a unique layout that spans three levels.

Originally purchased by C.K. and his then-wife Alix Bailey in 2006 for $250,000, the co-op has undergone significant changes over the years. The current asking price of $2.45 million, set last May, was eventually met with a sale at a slightly lower figure.

The residence's interior design features three fireplaces with marble mantels, adding to its eclectic charm. A spacious living room on the parlor floor flows into a compact L-shaped kitchen, complete with a vintage island and breakfast bar. A second-floor bedroom boasts stunning views of historic Jackson Square Park, while another large room can serve as a dining area or additional bedroom.

A third bedroom, located at street level, is accessible via a spiral staircase from the parlor floor and features its own private entrance, making it an ideal home office space. The building's common rooftop offers panoramic city views, and residents are also close to the Jane Street Garden and Abingdon Square.

This sale marks one of several recent transactions involving C.K.'s properties. In December 2022, he sold a co-op at 101 W. 12th St. for $1.8 million, following its purchase in 2016 for $2.45 million. He also parted ways with his five-bedroom Soho townhouse for $5.8 million and a co-op at One Fifth Ave. for an undisclosed amount.

The listing brokers were Carl Gambino and Justin Montero of Compass.
