he City of Medford has issued a request for proposal (RFP) to redevelop three underutilized city-owned lots in Medford Square. The goal is to create mixed-use developments that support local businesses, provide new housing options, and enhance the area's pedestrian connections.
Medford Square has significant potential for growth, with opportunities to strengthen its connection to arts and culture, improve transit links, and attract a diverse range of businesses. The city aims to transform the square into a vibrant hub for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
"We're excited to move forward with this project," said Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn. "Medford Square has been a priority for our city for nearly a decade, and we're now at a critical juncture in its transformation."
The deadline to submit proposals is December 20, 2024, by 11 a.m. All bids must be submitted online through BidNetDirect.com. For more information on the RFP, visit medfordma.org/procurement.
