Palm Beach estate near Mar-a-Lago sells at 168 Kings Road

Four properties sold in Palm Beach's security zone since mid-December.

A
Palm Beach house at 168 Kings Road has sold for $12 million, according to courthouse records. The property last changed hands in September 2023 for $14 million. Located on the second street north of President Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club, the five-bedroom house was built in 1959 and renovated. It features a Palm Beach Regency style with a symmetrical facade, flat roof, and classical design elements.

The sellers were a Delaware-registered limited liability company, which declined to comment on the transaction due to corporate privacy laws. The buyers are Kendall Cheatham, an oil businessman, and his wife Ashley Ciaburri Cheatham, a wealth-manager and private-equity specialist. They own a home in West Palm Beach, where they have declared their primary residence.

The house has 5,377 square feet of living space, including a ground-floor primary suite with two bathrooms, a wet bar, wine-storage area, full-house generator, and air-conditioned garage. Compass Florida handled the seller's side of the transaction, while agents Cara Coniglio McClure and Lisa Wilkinson of Douglas Elliman Real Estate represented the buyers.

The sale is one of four properties to change hands in the Mar-a-Lago security zone since December. Other recent sales include a $14.3 million deal for a never-lived-in house at 130 Algoma Road, a $27.5-million sale of an eight-bedroom estate at 120 Clarendon Avenue, and a $19.5 million purchase of a vacant lot with approved house plans at 1090 S. Ocean Boulevard.

Two other houses are under contract in the Trump security zone, including one listed for $15.75 million at 153 Kings Road and another at $18.95 million at 142 Via Palma. Three additional properties are listed for sale, led by a $48.85 million listing at 160 Clarendon Avenue.
