Real Estate Unveil Rarities Album, Debut "Pink Sky" Visuals

The Wee Small Hours: B-sides, covers and unreleased songs from The Pains of Being Pure at Heart's Domino era.

R
eal Estate is set to release a new album, The Wee Small Hours, on May 2. This collection of B-sides, covers, and unreleased tracks spans the band's 14-year tenure with Domino Records. It includes their takes on Television's "Days," the Nerves' "Paper Dolls," and the Strokes' "Barely Legal."

"We've been wanting to do this for a while," says frontman Martin Courtney. "The title comes from an unreleased song we recorded in 2013, referencing Frank Sinatra's great record of the same name. This feels like a worthy addition to our catalog."

Their latest studio album, Daniel, came out last year. To coincide with The Wee Small Hours, Real Estate has shared a music video for "Pink Sky," directed by Micah Welner and featuring Courtney dressed as a wizard.

Real Estate released their self-titled debut in 2009 on Woodsist before joining Domino in 2011. The label issued the group's next five studio albums: Days (2011), Atlas (2014), In Mind (2017), The Main Thing (2020), and Daniel.
