The buyer is Alex Kassai, a partner at Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles. The 3,800-square-foot home features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and custom stone work. Built in 2013, the gabled house sits on a 0.2-acre corner lot with a rock wall and mature oak and redwood trees.
The interior boasts Brazilian distressed floors, vaulted ceilings, and custom built-ins. The layout includes a living room with fireplace, a chef's kitchen, formal dining room, family room, and wine room. A master bedroom upstairs opens onto a balcony overlooking an art studio and hot tub. George Montanari of Compass held the listing.
The Sobrato Organization, founded by John A. Sobrato in 1979, has developed nearly 21.5 million square feet of real estate in the Bay Area. The company's portfolio includes office buildings, research and development facilities, and multifamily complexes.
