he Land Notification System is now live, allowing users to monitor names or properties for real estate activity in Douglas County. To sign up, visit the county website and create alerts that trigger when records are recorded with the county for specified names or properties.
A reminder from the Department of Transportation and Douglas County Highway Department: please give snowplows space on the roads. With strong winds and frigid temperatures causing significant snow drifts, plow drivers need room to work safely. Motorists must stay at least 200 feet behind working snowplows on highways with speed limits over 35 mph, and 75 feet on roads with lower speed limits.
The Hop-In Vaccine Event for children is scheduled for Monday, April 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lake Superior Community Health Center in Superior. No appointment is needed, and vaccines are free for uninsured individuals. For more information, call 715-392-1955 or visit lschc.org.
