reaking News: MLSs Revolutionize Data Sharing and Innovation
A game-changing development is underway in the world of multiple listing services (MLSs), where researchers can now access high-quality data while ensuring secure management processes. This breakthrough comes courtesy of reDataExport LLC, a new company launched by UtahRealEstate.com to distribute MLS data for research purposes.
reDataExport's software platform provides non-MLS users with bulk data in a user-friendly format, eliminating the need for proprietary software access. This innovation enables MLSs to share data confidently with universities, public agencies, and economists, fostering powerful relationships that boost their value.
"We're excited to offer a simple solution for complex data requests," said Brad Bjelke, CEO of UtahRealEstate.com. "By partnering with local entities, MLSs can establish themselves as experts in real estate data, increasing recognition and value in the market."
In California, CRMLS is taking collaboration to new heights by entering into data access agreements with neighboring MLSs, Northwest MLS and Western Arizona Realtor Data Exchange (WARDEX). This partnership allows members of all three platforms to view listings across each other's territories.
"The era of remote work has made it increasingly valuable for agents and brokers to have access to a broader pool of listings," said CRMLS CEO Art Carter. "More data from more markets will help consumers find their dream homes, no matter where they're located."
Meanwhile, the Houston Association of Realtors is revolutionizing home buying with Redesign, an AI-powered tool that lets prospective buyers virtually customize the interior of listed homes on HAR.com.
"Redesign allows consumers to visualize a home's possibilities before stepping foot inside," said Mario Arriaga, Chairman of HAR.com. "This innovative tool reflects our commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation in real estate."
Other notable developments include Bluegrass Realtors announcing new leadership with Todd Hyatt as 2025 president and Metrolist partnering with Home Value Lock to expand its insurance product coverage for VA loan applicants.
