Architrave, a PropTech company based in Berlin, has appointed Niklas Hinsch as Lead AI Strategy & Innovation. Hinsch will take up this position on 1 September 2026 and will continue his work within the company's Product & Engineering team. His responsibilities will encompass the development of Architrave's AI initiatives across all phases, from ideation, through proof of concept and validation in a customer context, to implementation into the product pipeline.
Maurice Grassau, CEO of Architrave, emphasised the relevance of this appointment. He explained that asset managers' primary focus is on sound decisions, the foundation of which lies in the documents to be managed. The future ability of systems to prepare and execute routine and directional decisions makes the underlying strategy crucial for customer value. The responsibility for this strategic direction now lies with Niklas Hinsch, whose role is positioned close to development and directly with the customer, not within a staff department.
Architrave has been utilising Artificial Intelligence for document and data processing since 2016. The company's proprietary classification and extraction component, AV Automate, is capable of identifying over 400 different document classes and extracting more than 2,000 data fields. Based on this comprehensive data foundation, the company develops autonomous applications that not only document but also actively support and optimise processes in asset management.
Niklas Hinsch, in his new role as Lead AI Strategy & Innovation at Architrave, highlighted that Artificial Intelligence enables a significantly increased development speed. This means ideas can be transformed into functional products in a very short time and tested directly in real customer processes. However, he underlined the necessity not to equate this speed with blind trust. Hinsch stressed the importance of designing systems where the results of AI remain comprehensible and verifiable at all times. Only in this way can the acceleration enabled by AI be used safely and efficiently.
Niklas Hinsch has been with Architrave since 2016. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Senior Strategist with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, data, and digital products. Hinsch is a qualified architect and previously worked as a Product Manager at Drooms, among other roles. His experience also includes work in architecture and exhibition design. He completed his academic training at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus and the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin.
