Three new lease agreements have been announced in the Stuttgart Engineering Park (STEP) at Gropiusplatz, a location focused on engineering sciences, mobility, and high-tech development. Union Investment successfully let a total of 3,517 square metres of office space in buildings STEP 6 and STEP 8.3 to various consulting and service companies. This reflects the sustained demand for high-quality office space in this specialised environment.
Sven Lintl, Head of Asset Management DACH at Union Investment, highlighted that the proximity to leading industrial companies in the economically strong Stuttgart region, along with the connection between research and business, creates an attractive innovation and start-up environment in STEP Park. This is a significant factor for the strong demand for office space.
Existing Tenants Expand Space and New Addition to STEP
IT service provider GEBIT Solutions, a tenant in STEP 8.3 since 2018, has expanded its office space. The company now occupies a total of 1,807 square metres and has signed a ten-year lease agreement, signalling a long-term commitment to the location. Michael Steinbach, Branch Manager Stuttgart at GEBIT Solutions, emphasised that the location is valued by employees and that the space expansion meets increased demand.
X_Conducting was announced as a new tenant in STEP 6. The Stuttgart-based consulting and service company, previously located in STEP Park, chose Union Investment's property for expansion reasons, leasing 855 square metres of office space with a five-year contract term. Daniel Stückel from X_Conducting highlighted the excellent infrastructure and modern environment at Gropiusplatz, which offer ideal conditions for employees, clients, and applicants.
Also in STEP 6, the company RSE+ extended its lease for 855 square metres for another five years. RSE+ offers comprehensive solutions in architecture, engineering, factory and logistics planning, as well as supply chain and production consulting for commercial workplaces, residential, educational, and commercial buildings, up to projects for industry, logistics, and aerospace. Lukas Holzinger, Managing Partner at RSE+, expressed positive views on the opportunities for corporate development at the location.
