With the opening of Premier Inn Bremerhaven, the hotel brand is expanding its presence in Germany. The property, strategically located between the harbour and the Weser estuary, represents Premier Inn's first establishment in Germany to offer a direct sea view. The building comprises 115 rooms, spread over seven floors, and was realised as a new build in cooperation with partner LIST.
A special feature of the hotel is its 13 Premier Plus rooms, which occupy the entire seventh floor and offer guests views of the sea, the harbour, and the Havenwelten. Additionally, 40 ground-level parking spaces are available for guests, including four EV charging stations and bicycle parking spaces.
Erik Friemuth, CEO of Premier Inn Germany, commented on the opening. He highlighted that the opening in Bremerhaven not only marked another milestone in Germany's expansion but also opened up a location with international appeal. Friemuth emphasised the importance of the direct waterfront location in combination with the brand's quality standards and the implementation by LIST. This property demonstrates that Premier Inn generates sustainable growth in both established metropolitan areas and touristically relevant destinations.
Michael Garstka, Managing Partner of LIST Develop Commercial, described the project as appealing, particularly due to the characteristics of water, harbour, and international appeal. He noted that Premier Inn had clear requirements and LIST delivered a turnkey solution from a single source. The cooperation from concept to handover proceeded smoothly.
The positioning of Premier Inn Bremerhaven is considered advantageous for both business and leisure travellers. The city centre is reachable within approximately 15 minutes on foot. The hotel is also located between the cruise terminal and the city. For cyclists, the location offers direct access to the Weser Cycle Path towards Cuxhaven. The opening in Bremerhaven represents another step in Premier Inn's expansion strategy in Germany, which aims to provide high-quality hotels in attractive locations for various traveller groups.
