RFR Holding, the company of Aby Rosen and Michael Fuchs, has established a new holding company named RFR US. This company will be controlled by Aby Rosen and his sons Gaby Rosen and Charlie Rosen. The venture was initiated this year and is intended to focus on new office, high-street retail, and development projects, as reported by the industry medium The Promote, which first published the news.
Upon request, RFR declined to comment. According to The Promote, Michael Fuchs is not involved in the new holding company. However, he will continue to cooperate with Aby Rosen on the company's existing properties in the US and Germany.
Recently, an RFR property, the asset at 281 Park Avenue South, known for its connection to the so-called 'fake heiress' Anna Delvey, changed hands for US$81.5 million. This represents a significant reduction compared to the previous asking price of US$135 million. The company has also expanded its office portfolio by acquiring new tenants.
The marketing agency Sportfive recently leased 18,038 square feet of space in RFR's building at 477 Madison Avenue. Another prominent lease was concluded by the real estate development company BFC Partners, which signed a lease for 13,758 square feet at RFR's 17 State Street. These movements underscore RFR's continued activity and strategic realignment in the real estate market.
The establishment of RFR US signals a clear strategic realignment towards specific segments of the US real estate market. The focus on office, retail, and development indicates confidence in the future performance of these sectors. The involvement of Aby Rosen's sons in the new company's leadership points to a long-term family strategy and continuity in corporate management.
