Supernova continues its strategic expansion in Italy with the acquisition of two established retail properties. The new acquisitions include Le Isole Shopping Centre in Gravellona Toce, Piedmont, and Centro Commerciale Buonvento in Benevento, Campania. These transactions confirm Supernova's long-term commitment to investing in high-quality retail properties in regionally strong catchment areas with strategic growth potential.
Details of the acquisitions
Le Isole Shopping Centre is located in Gravellona Toce, approximately 40 kilometres from the Swiss border, nestled in one of Northern Italy's largest leisure and tourism regions. Its location near Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta, surrounded by nature parks and close to the cities of Verbania and Omegna, establishes the centre as a constant shopping destination for residents and tourists. With a gross lettable area (GLA) of around 17,227 sqm, spread over two levels, it houses 55 retail shops and eight catering establishments. The offering includes fashion, shoes, accessories, jewellery, optics, gastronomy, and leisure options. The complex is complemented by spacious outdoor areas and an adjacent green park along the River Strona.
The second acquisition, Centro Commerciale Buonvento, is located in Benevento, a city in Southern Italy known for its cultural heritage and educational institutions. This shopping centre has a gross lettable area of around 17,940 sqm. A Conad supermarket serves as an anchor tenant, supplemented by 48 retail shops and two restaurants. The centre serves a comprehensive catchment area in Benevento and the surrounding region.
Strategic significance and market outlook
Markus Pinggera, Managing Director of the Supernova Group, stated that these acquisitions represent an important milestone in the company's growth trajectory in Italy. He highlighted that both locations are established retail destinations with a strong market position, an attractive tenant mix, and deep regional roots. Supernova identifies significant long-term potential in both locations and intends to further expand their role as regional centres for shopping, dining, and social interaction.
With the acquisition of Le Isole Shopping Centre and Centro Commerciale Buonvento, the Supernova Group confirms its consistent continuation of its European growth course. The focus remains on sustainable growth, long-term value creation, and the further development of attractive retail locations into vibrant meeting places and social hubs.
