The FÜRST urban quarter on Berlin's Kurfürstendamm has recorded significant construction progress towards completion. With the installation of a mast on the central high-rise, the final height of 115 metres has been reached. The entire structural shell phase of the ensemble is scheduled for completion by mid-December 2026.
The project managers of FÜRST marked this construction stage together with their partners WBRE, Geplahn-t, Taurecon, Dunman and CELLS as part of a celebration. The focus of the gathering was recognition for the contractors and craftspeople whose work enabled progress on schedule.
Dismantling of cranes and fit-out phase
Josip Kardun, CEO of FÜRST, stated that the development was now on the home straight and that the quarter was increasingly taking shape. Special thanks went to the workers on site, whose daily commitment made this intermediate milestone possible. By the end of January 2027, the final four construction cranes are to be dismantled step by step, allowing the quarter in City West to unfold its full urban presence. The 23-storey tower will shape this traditional address in the future.
Following the structural shell, the focus shifts to technical installations and the interior fit-out of the building structures. In parallel, the completion of the facades, the installation of building services and the design of the interior spaces will take place to prepare the areas for future occupiers.
Usage concept and letting status
The project is being developed on the site of the former Ku'damm-Karree in the immediate vicinity of Zoologischer Garten. Following structural completion scheduled for 2027, the quarter will combine several types of use under one roof:
- —Modern office working environments
- —Food and beverage and retail space
- —Cultural facilities
- —Hospitality and accommodation offerings
Marketing is progressing successfully: to date, more than 40 per cent of the total space in the new urban quarter has already been firmly let.
