At the Campus Neue Balan commercial site on the border of the Haidhausen district, Allgemeine SÜDBODEN is expanding the existing food and beverage offering. For the planned staff restaurant with an adjoining coffee bar, the company has secured Sweetvibes GmbH and its Y.OUR Event & Catering brand as a long-term operator. The opening of the new facility is scheduled for January 2027.

The new catering operation will be established under the name Lilly's in House 10 of the quarter, covering an area of more than 900 square metres. Indoors, the space provides seating for around 190 guests. Capacity is complemented by two outdoor terraces, creating additional quality outdoor dwell space on the campus during the warmer months.

Culinary focus and neighbourhood needs

The decision in favour of the concept was made following a survey of the resident tenants. Thomas D. Sterk, authorized signatory at Allgemeine SÜDBODEN, explained that staff at the resident companies had expressed a desire for a regular canteen to complement the existing eateries. By securing Sweetvibes, the decision was deliberately made to opt for an established hospitality business rather than a conventional canteen services provider, which is intended to have a direct positive effect on the variety and quality of the catering.

The food offering at Lilly's combines traditional lunch options with breakfast items, speciality coffees and takeaway selections. The core menu features dishes such as pasta, curries, salads and bowls, supplemented by rotating daily specials, seasonal highlights and wholesome vegan meals. Eric König, Managing Director of Sweetvibes GmbH, emphasised the aim of creating a vibrant meeting place offering fresh cuisine tailored to the daily needs of employees.

Addition to the commercial location

The new staff restaurant integrates into the quarter's existing infrastructure. To date, local employees have had access to the BalanDeli restaurant, a chicco di caffè branch and a local convenience store, among other amenities. Alongside daily catering, the new operator will also offer conference and event catering for internal functions to the tenants of Campus Neue Balan.

Sweetvibes already has experience on commercial sites in Munich. The company operates facilities including the Y.Pavillon at Campus Infanteriestraße in the Schwabing-West district and covers event hospitality and venue management through Y.OUR Event & Catering.
