LaserAway, a well-known provider of skincare, hair removal, and body wellness services, is preparing to open its 15th branch in New York City. The new location will be in Manhattan's Upper East Side, as learned by Commercial Observer. A long-term lease has been signed for the use of the premises.
LaserAway has signed a 10-year lease for a 1,800 square foot space on the ground floor of a mixed-use property at 242 East 86th Street. This was confirmed by a source familiar with the deal. The asking rent was $165 per square foot. The opening of this additional branch underscores the company's expansion strategy in the greater New York area.
Location and Parties Involved
The property in Yorkville is owned by LLC 244 East 86th Street, which, according to property records, is associated with Shore Assets. For this transaction, LaserAway was represented by Michael Miller of The Shopping Center Group. Darrell Rubens and Richard Gelber of Newmark represented the landlord. While Rubens and Gelber declined to comment, Miller did not immediately respond to a request.
The building at 242 East 86th Street, situated between Second and Third Avenue, is a 55,158 square foot, mid-rise, mixed-use property. According to Loopnet.com, the building was constructed in 1920 and renovated in 2003. It offers an attractive location for retail and service businesses.
