The US private equity firm JLL Partners has acquired the Life Couriers Group. JLL Partners, based in New York, is an investment company that focuses, among other things, on companies in the healthcare, business services, and industrial sectors. The sellers in this transaction were companies associated with AUCTUS Capital Partners. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction volume.
Life Couriers is an international specialist in logistics solutions that are both time-sensitive and temperature-critical. The company, headquartered in Munich, primarily serves the healthcare and life sciences industries. The group has a comprehensive international presence spanning the USA, Europe, Central America, and Asia.
JLL Partners was advised by a team from the international law firm ADVANT, comprising specialists from ADVANT Beiten and ADVANT Nctm. ADVANT's mandate came on the recommendation of US law firm Winston Taylor. The latter advised JLL Partners as lead counsel regarding the US legal aspects of the transaction.
The advice provided by ADVANT covered both German and Italian legal matters of the cross-border transaction. A significant focus of the transaction was in Germany. Furthermore, numerous other jurisdictions within the European Union, as well as in the USA, Central America, and Asia, were considered.
With this acquisition, JLL Partners aims to substantially support Life Couriers' next growth phase. The strategic direction focuses on two key areas: further international expansion and the development of the service offering for time-critical healthcare logistics.
