A prime retail space in Bremen city centre has been successfully leased. Robert C. Spies Gewerbe & Investment GmbH & Co. KG advised on the letting of a retail area of approximately 170 square metres to Juwelier Cohrs Edelmetall GmbH. This transaction consolidates the presence of an established specialist retailer in Bremen city centre and marks a significant relocation within the core area.
The new tenant of the space is Juwelier Cohrs Edelmetall GmbH, a specialist in jewellery and precious metals. Commerz Real AG acted as the landlord. The lease agreement was concluded for a term of five years, with the commencement of the lease being 1 October 2026. This underlines the long-term perspective of both parties at this inner-city location.
Relocation and New Opening
With this step, Juwelier Cohrs is moving its previous location from Pelzerstraße 4 to Schüsselkorb 12a/14. The company will thus occupy a space previously used by Villeroy & Boch. This move enables Juwelier Cohrs to reposition itself in an already frequented area of the city centre. The opening of the new business premises is planned for mid-November 2026, following the completion of necessary renovation works.
Susanne Maaß-Ebner, Head of Retail Letting at Robert C. Spies, emphasised in the context of the brokerage the relevance of a harmonious combination of space quality, an established retail environment, and a solid economic development perspective for inner-city relocations. She expressed her delight at assisting Juwelier Cohrs with the move to this qualified retail location.
Significance for Bremen as a Retail Location
The successful letting of this retail space contributes to the attractiveness and revitalisation of Bremen city centre. It demonstrates that, even in a dynamic market environment, high-quality locations remain important for specialised retailers. The establishment of a renowned jeweller in a former space of a premium provider ensures the qualitative alignment of the retail offering in this area. This is an indicator of the resilience and adaptability of the local retail market.
