LaSalle Investment Management, a leading global real estate investment manager, has acquired an individual mandate with a volume of approximately 450 million euros. This mandate strategically focuses on the office property sector in continental Europe. The mandate was awarded by a German institutional investor and will be administratively managed in Germany via the Institutional Investment Partners ("2IP") platform.
The investment strategy of the mandate envisages the acquisition of prime core office investments in significant European real estate markets. These target markets include France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain. The selection process, in which LaSalle prevailed, was competitive.
Strategic Direction and Market Background
The decision in favour of LaSalle underscores the performance capability of its European platform and its established track record in the office property segment. It also reflects the company's competence in designing and implementing customised real estate investment solutions for institutional clients. The mandate focuses on high-quality office properties in established locations. The selection of these assets takes into account robust tenant demand, limited new construction supply and the long-term attractiveness of prime office locations.
Philip La Pierre, Head of Europe at LaSalle, emphasised that the mandate award is a significant success for the European team and demonstrates LaSalle's comprehensive expertise in the European office property markets. He expressed the company's pride in being selected in such a competitive environment and announced that it would now build a high-quality, income-generating portfolio for the client.
Falko Schlafke, Head of Custom Accounts, Continental Europe at LaSalle and fund manager for this mandate, added that the mandate offers an attractive opportunity to invest capital specifically in prime core office properties in the largest continental European metropolises. He stressed that the current market environment enables attractive entry opportunities for high-quality office properties in good locations. This applies particularly to markets that benefit from strong fundamentals in the rental markets and a limited supply of new builds. Schlafke expressed confidence regarding the implementation of the strategy together with the client.
