enowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is partnering with Terra to develop a 48-story condominium tower in Miami's Design District. The Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences will feature 35 residential floors, containing 329 units, and break ground next summer with an expected completion date of 2027.
Priced from $1.6 million, the building will offer a range of luxury amenities, including two pools, a spa, treatment rooms, cold plunges, and a private dining room. Residents will also have access to a podcast recording studio, squash court, and chef's kitchen.
Vongerichten is personally involved in designing the kitchens, which will feature Gaggenau stoves and be stocked with high-end appliances and cookware. He's even working with local farmers to create a "vegetable installation" within the building.
The building's interiors are being designed by Yabu Pushelberg, who has collaborated with Vongerichten on previous projects. Arquitectonica is responsible for the building's design, which will feature five floors of amenities and 27,500 square feet of ground-level retail space.
Terra CEO David Martin notes that the building's focus on walkability sets it apart from other Miami developments. "You don't need a car to live here," he says. "You can connect to fitness, wellness, food, and beverage right outside your door."
Vongerichten is so invested in the project that he's even purchasing a home within the building himself. "Residences are more personal than hotels," he explains. "You really get to know your customers."
