Valued at roughly OMR 1.6 billion (USD 4.2 billion) and planned for 12 years, the development will fuse luxury residences, cultural venues, world‑class marinas, curated retail, high‑tech finance and business parks, and premium hotels into a single, integrated ecosystem.

Ziad El Chaar, CEO of Dar Global, said the initiative “represents a pivotal moment for Oman’s coastline and future economy.” He added that the partnership goes beyond property, fostering enterprise, attracting talent, supporting cultural production and unlocking new economic value. “MAD is a gateway inspired by the sea and driven by innovation,” he noted.

A key feature is a district‑wide digital economy, featuring digital licensing, asset exchange and ecosystem rewards to streamline business formation and investment for global entrepreneurs and investors.
