The hotel group Hyatt has expanded its portfolio in Central Asia with the commissioning of Beldersoy Resort & Spa. The property, located in the Chimgan-Bostanliq mountain region in Beldersoy, Uzbekistan, marks the debut of the Destination by Hyatt brand in the region. It represents a precedent-setting property within the Uzbek market for premium mountain resorts.
The resort is integrated into the alpine landscape and is designed for year-round use. It offers direct access to ski slopes, gondola lifts, and hiking and cycling trails. Additional leisure opportunities are available due to its proximity to Lake Charvak, the mountain village of Chimgan, and the capital Tashkent.
Beldersoy Resort & Spa features 109 rooms and 36 villas. These accommodations offer panoramic mountain views and are equipped with a 55-inch television, accessible showers, and workspaces. The interior design references the Chimgan Mountains through the use of regional materials and artworks, reflecting Uzbekistan's cultural heritage. Colour accents in natural tones of stone, sand, clay, and green underscore this design.
Concept and Hospitality
Michel Morauw, Managing Director Hyatt EAME North, emphasised that the resort was conceptually designed to combine Uzbek mountain culture with contemporary design and hospitality. Khaled Shaker, General Manager of Beldersoy Resort & Spa, added that the focus had been on preserving the natural environment while minimising energy consumption and carefully managing water. The resort implements a thalassotherapy-based wellness concept. The spa treatments utilise mineral-based therapies, adapted for the high altitude. The facility includes several pools, among them a saltwater indoor pool and a floating pool, complemented by an infinity outdoor pool with mountain views, a separate spa, and fitness areas.
