The Dr. Peters Group, an owner-managed company, has taken over the investor administration for a total of nine funds from Deutsche Immobilien Leasing GmbH (DIL). DIL is a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank. This transaction expands the client base managed by the Dr. Peters Group by over 10,000 private and semi-professional investors. The agreement includes three private equity funds and six funds focused on investments in the renewable energy sector. The takeover particularly strengthens the Dr. Peters Group's commitment to the renewable energy sector, a business area for which the company received an extended licence from BaFin at the beginning of last year.
The six renewable energy funds are divided into one solar fund and five wind power funds. The solar fund has been invested in three solar parks in southern Italy for approximately 15 years. The wind power funds, in turn, hold assets in various German federal states, including locations in Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse. The three private equity funds were originally launched by KGAL and Deutsche Bank. These funds are involved in a variety of unlisted companies, including those in the life science sector, through various target funds.
This current acquisition builds on existing collaborations. The Dr. Peters Group and DIL have maintained a partnership in the field of A380 aircraft funds for many years. The current expansion of the business relationship, through the takeover of investor administration for nine further participations, sustainably strengthens this partnership.
Approximately four years ago, the Dr. Peters Group gained its first experience with the takeover of funds from an external issuing house. At that time, this involved three aircraft participations from Hannover Leasing. The results achieved were deemed positive, especially for the more than 5,000 fund investors. Since the takeover, they have benefited from both sold aircraft components and compensation payments, as well as the extension of leasing contracts.
Kristina Salamon, the Managing Partner of the Dr. Peters Group, stated that the trust shown by DIL through the transfer of investor administration for nine funds confirms the company's strategy to expand its portfolio by taking over the management of assets for third parties. She considers this a sensible addition to the existing business with real asset investments. Furthermore, advanced discussions are already underway with other issuing houses interested in the Dr. Peters Group's experience and reliability, which means further mandates are expected.
