alker & Dunlop, one of the largest US commercial real estate finance and advisory services firms, had a complex brand identity after several large mergers and acquisitions. To consolidate its image, Chief Marketing Officer Carol McNerney sought tools to help her team upgrade the company's online presence.
McNerney wanted to create a single website that would showcase Walker & Dunlop's story and bring together 12 separate businesses under one umbrella. However, she was hesitant to touch the existing website due to its outdated technology and complex codebase. McNerney opted for Webflow, an enterprise-grade platform that could integrate with various systems and provide the necessary security features.
The new website launched in February after a nine-month development period, during which McNerney worked closely with Webflow's team. The site has seen a 20% increase in traffic since its launch, driven by users searching for services such as appraisals and lending.
Walker & Dunlop also leveraged two of Webflow's AI-powered tools: Analyze and Optimize. These tools enable the company to personalize user experiences based on data-driven insights, making it easier for visitors to find relevant information. McNerney is excited about this new capability, which sets Walker & Dunlop apart in the commercial real estate finance industry.
Six members of McNerney's team are now using Webflow, and they feel empowered by being at the forefront of digital innovation. The platform has also allowed the marketing team to become more data-driven, relying on metrics such as bounce rates and page views to inform their decisions.
The new website has been a game-changer for Walker & Dunlop, with internal teams now proudly promoting it to prospects. McNerney credits Webflow's ease of use and robust analytics capabilities for this success, saying that her team can easily pull reports and track the site's performance in real-time.
