Novatrans GmbH, a company specialising in e-commerce, has leased the entire logistics property at Industriestraße 16 in Cologne. This transaction allows the company to secure approximately 11,081 square metres of warehouse, usable and ancillary space, significantly strengthening its presence in northern Cologne.
The owner of the property in question is Bauer Property GmbH & Co. KG. This company specialises in the development and retention of properties in its portfolio. The transaction was brokered by Colliers, who acted under an exclusive letting mandate.
Strategic location for expansion
The property in the Cologne-Niehl district is characterised by modern logistics facilities. It creates the necessary conditions for the further expansion of Novatrans GmbH. Through this lease, the company is deliberately focusing on an established logistics location that boasts good infrastructural links and offers long-term development prospects.
The successful letting underscores the persistently high demand for modern logistics space, particularly in urban areas. This also reaffirms the importance of Cologne as a business location for companies active in retail, e-commerce, and distribution.
High demand for modern logistics properties
Martin Kubitza, Head of Industrial & Logistics in North Rhine-Westphalia at Colliers, explained that by leasing the space in Cologne-Niehl, Novatrans is creating the basis for further growth and efficient handling of its logistics processes. He further emphasised that the transaction proves that modern logistics properties in strategically well-connected locations continue to be in strong demand.
